Studio Pip is an Australian wholesaler specialising in residential and commercial furniture. With a modern, contemporary design and an expanding distribution network, their products are uniquely Australian and available in a large array of upholstery and timber options.

Customisability is a big part of Studio Pip’s appeal and a key sales and marketing challenge is how to best showcase their material options to clients browsing online.

“Our trade partners are excellent at visualising pieces without a physical reference point”, explains Joe Muratore, founder of Studio Pip. “However, they need to relay their selections to clients, so an AR + 3D tool really assists them in bringing their concept to life. The 3D feature by INHAABIT was a perfect solution. It assists clients in designing their own products with a visual reference point”.

Studio Pip AR + 3D Product Configurator

With Studio Pip’s website forming an important part of their sales process, the Sydney-based company partnered with INHAABIT to create a solution that would allow clients to more realistically visualise their products. INHAABIT’s AR + 3D Product Configurator was a perfect fit, enabling clients to configure their furniture in full 360 degrees and experience them in their room via Augmented Reality.

INHAABIT’s industry leading onboarding process, creates digital twins of products, ensuring they match their physical counterparts with the correct dimensions and features. Studio Pip’s products were recreated in high definition, ensuring materials such as their American Oak and leather ranges are detailed and accurate in their tones.

“The quality of the renders and attention to detail in the AR + 3D models was a standout for us”, says Joe Muratore. “The ability to take a photo of the render is also a feature that greatly assists us in the sales process, enabling us to add an image of the product to quotes, furniture schedules and presentations.”

With clients spending more time browsing websites, the addition of AR + 3D products has enhanced the way Studio Pip approaches their sales and marketing.

“Our website has always been one of our most important assets, which is why moving forward with this feature has become an integral part”, continues Joe Muratore. “Features like AR + 3D will become a key sales tool, when viewing physical samples is not possible. Obstacles such as restrictions or hesitations to shop for furniture are also addressed by enabling customers to see a product without leaving their home.”
